Frequently Asked Questions

"WHERE ARE THE CLASSES"?

All our classes are at present held in Carlisle and Dumfries but we can run classes tailored to your needs anywhere!

"HOW MUCH ARE LESSONS"?

Prices are given on the classes page.

"WHAT SHOULD I WEAR"?

Loose fitting clothes, or anything you feel comfortable in. You will need to wear shoes with a leather sole. Dress to impress on club nights.

"DO I NEED A PARTNER"?

No! Thankfully, Salsa is a very social dance and we swap partners, so if you havn’t got one, there’s plenty to share.

"WHERE CAN I GET GOOD SALSA MUSIC"?

We currently have a selection of music available at our classes.

"HOW DO I KNOW WHAT LEVEL I AM"?

You should always start at the beginners group level, as each instructor has his/her own different teaching style and method. If you find this class too slow or easy you can move up to the next level.

"ARE THERE ANY RULES?"

The No. 1 rule is to enjoy yourself.
Leaders: keep to what you can do well, and be confortable with it.
Followers: Relax and enjoy the dance.

Observe these rules of etiquette:
1. Never refuse an invitation to dance without good reason - both men and women.
2. Always be aware of what's around you so that you do not annoy other dancers. Keep your steps small!
